Tina Sutton is now chief information officer at the Ministry of Justice. Before this, she was with the Department of Internal Affairs as acting deputy chief executive information and knowledge services.
Peter Ennis is now director of strategic solutions at Avid Technology, which specialises in video and audio production. He had worked there in the 1990s as regional sales manager based in the United Kingdom, before taking on ICT leadership roles, the most recent of which were executive director, technology and broadcast at Al Jazeera and general manager technology at TVNZ. He is also a director at boutique consultancy Hahei Partners.
Darryl Grauman is now Asia Pacific Services and Cloud Solutions Director at Westcon. He will be based in Auckland and overseeing a regional APAC team. He was previously national manager –innovation and services for the global technology distributor.
Vanessa Thompson is now research director, enterprise social networks and collaborative technologies for IDC, based in San Francisco.
Gary Denman joins Brocade as senior director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). He will be based in Sydney, Australia, and report to Adam Judd, Brocade vice president for Asia Pacific. He was most recently managing director for ANZ at Polycom.
Rainer Gombos joins virtual reality firm 8i as its executive creative director. Gombos is known for his work on Game of Thrones, for which he won an Emmy for Outstanding Special Visual Effects on season 2.
“I am thrilled to be joining 8i’s team of visionaries and expert technicians in developing what is clearly the future of content viewing. This technology is one of the biggest evolutionary steps in communication and storytelling since the invention of film,” says Gombos.
