Who will be CIO of the Year?

The deadline for entries is 5pm Thursday, 24 June 2010.

CIO
is once again searching for New Zealand’s leading CIO and top IT recruiter. The CIO of the Year Award celebrates the success of an individual CIO, but the distinction is also a celebration for the CEO and the whole team. The award recognises excellence in management and for using technology to attain business goals.

So if you think you or your organisation’s CIO has made a real difference over the past year, whether that be in leadership, delivering increased efficiency or driving transformation (or all three!), then you should enter now or nominate your CIO for the CIO of the Year Award. NetApp is sponsor of the CIO of the Year award.

The Excellence in IT Recruitment is open to any recruiting company in the IT space that believes they are providing excellence for their clients. The award, now in its second year, is sponsored by the Information Technology Contract and Recruitment Association (ITCRA.

The excellence award considers factors such as customer service, ethics, training and innovation. The award will, in part, be judged by the customers of the recruitment companies that enter.

ITCRA and CIO are polling New Zealand’s top corporate and government CIOs to discover which recruitment companies they use and how they rate them. Those results will inform a high-level, independent panel of judges who will then consider written entries from those IT recruitment organisations that enter.

The 2009 winners are Julia Raue of Air New Zealand for CIO of the Year, and Candle ICT for Excellence in IT Recruitment.

Go to www.cio.co.nz to download the entry forms. The deadline for all entries is 5pm Thursday, 24 June 2010. The winners will be announced during the CIO Summit gala dinner on 20 July 2010 at SkyCity, Auckland.
