New CIO at Fletcher Building

Ex-Google exec Dan Anthony takes up one of biggest ICT roles in New Zealand

Dan Anthony is joining Fletcher Building as chief information officer on July 29.

He takes over from John Bell, who has announced that he is retiring from full-time work.

Bell joined Fletcher Building in November 2015 from Deloitte, where he was a senior partner.

Anthony was most recently director of engineering projects at Google. He has also worked at Accenture, Bearing Point and Westpac New Zealand.

“We are delighted that Dan will be joining Fletcher Building as we focus on developing technology solutions that will enhance our service to customers,” says Fletcher Building CEO Ross Taylor.

Taylor says Anthony has been based overseas for the last 18 years “where he has gained extensive experience leading large-scale technology teams in Australia and the United States”.
