Garry Collings has joined active fleet management solutions provider Coretex as head of operations for Australia and New Zealand.
He will look after all aspects of operations including sales and support, installation and customer success, and will be part of the executive leadership team, the company says, in a statement.
Collings joins Coretex from Toll’s Specialised Transport Group, where he was general manager for seven years.
Collings says Coretex is a growing transport technology company where he will tap his more than 20 years experience in the transport and logistics industry.
Collings is one of a handful of New Zealand CIOs who leapt to top executive posts in both the ICT user and vendor spaces. He has held CIO and GM roles at NetApp, Toll, TranzRail and Mainfreight.
Coretex CEO Selwyn Pellett says Collings was a customer of Coretex from his time at Toll. “I expect him to make a huge difference to our customer programmes and improve the experience that we offer our customers across the region.”
Coretex provides fleet operators with high-definition tracking solutions for trucks, refrigerated trailers, dry trailers, waste and recycling trucks and ready mix fleets.
Coretex employs 110 people across its three active markets – New Zealand, Australia and the US. It is one of two companies permitted to collect Road User Tax (RUC) on behalf of the New Zealand Government.
