Revera gearing up to spearhead Microsoft Cloud OS Network

“Clients want this technology from the cloud, but they’re sensitive about data sovereignty. Revera is a safe, home soil alternative,” says CEO Robin Cockayne.

Revera says it is set to spearhead Microsoft’s Cloud OS Network in New Zealand.

Scheduled to go live early next year, Revera says its Microsoft Cloud Platform offering is geared to public sector organisations and available via the Government ICT common capability IaaS programme.

The network offers customers a hybrid cloud infrastructure based on Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V, System Center 2012 R2, and Windows Azure Pack.

“Clients want this technology from the cloud, but they’re sensitive about data sovereignty. Revera is a safe, home soil alternative,” says its CEO Robin Cockayne

“The alliance with Revera combines Microsoft technologies with local cloud expertise to provide customers with a flexible platform solution,” says Paul Muckleston, managing director, Microsoft New Zealand.

Revera’s alliance with Microsoft started in 2002, when it launched hosted Microsoft CRM to local integrators.

In 2007, Revera was one of eight global partners to participate in the Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V rapid deployment programme. At that time Revera also rolled out Microsoft System Center to manage its Homeland services platforms and the provisioning of Hyper-V virtual machines. Earlier this year Revera launched a cloud-based suite of Microsoft productivity services, called Revera c-Stack.
