Microsoft kicked off its annual TechEd in New Zealand with three keynotes at Auckland’s Vector Arena yesterday evening.
We are just at the starting point when it comes to price wars between competing global cloud providers and customers will continue to benefit from falling costs, according to Steven Martin, GM for cloud and enterprise at Microsoft.
“Christchurch has a unique opportunity. The earthquake was devastating and horrific. But it has also left a great opportunity to rebuild," says Darrell D Smith, director of facilities and energy, real estate and facilities at Microsoft.
New Zealand is one of the top-most adopters of the Windows Azure platform among independent software vendors (ISVs), and if indications are anything to go by, it might soon be one of the top enterprise adopters of the platform as well.
