    On November 2, Gen-i’s CEO Chris Quin, along with marketing GM Jo Allison and CIO Peter Finch will be boarding a plane to New York. Hopefully they will get over the jetlag quickly because, four days later, they will be lining up with thousands of other runners for what is possibly the most famous running event in the world: the New York City Marathon.

  • Gen-i supplies Apple products to government

    Gen-i has been appointed one of two suppliers of Apple products on the All-of-Government laptop and desktop computer procurement panel.
    The deal will supplement Gen-i’s existing contract to supply Lenovo computers and Phillips monitors, as well as their existing Tahi mobile contract.

    Gen-i and Fletcher Building have signed a three-year contract that Gen-is calls its “largest mobile win”. With the contract, Gen-i will provide mobility solutions based on Telecom’s XT network. The transition from Vodafone services begins immediately.

  • Gen-i yet to land Air NZ

    A multimillion-dollar deal under which Air New Zealand would outsource the hosting of its mainframes to Telecom's Gen-i has not yet moved beyond a memorandum of understanding that was leaked in June, sources say.
    IBM currently houses the systems at an ageing facility in Auckland that was originally built by Air NZ and later transferred to the vendor.
