Veritas Named “Champion” in Canalys APAC Channel Leadership Matrix

SYDNEY, Australia – January 18, 2022 – Veritas Technologies, the global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that it has been named a “Champion” in the Canalys APAC Channel Leadership Matrix.

The Canalys APAC Channel Leadership Matrix is based on reseller feedback to the Canalys Vendor Benchmark, an online tool that compiles partner ratings of technology vendors’ capabilities across 12 areas of channel management. This is combined with a detailed assessment of recent channel activities and future prospects by Canalys analysts to derive the vendor’s ultimate position.

In declaring Veritas a “Champion”, the Canalys report noted enhancements to the Veritas Partner Force programme, which introduced more rewards for partners and deeper collaboration on key areas such as ransomware resiliency. Canalys also highlighted the strength of Veritas’ partner community support through its Platinum Vantage initiative.

Sheena Wee, APAC Channels Analyst, at Canalys, said: “Achieving Champion status is an impressive achievement, requiring not only the highest level of excellence in channel management, but also year-on-year improvement. Veritas demonstrated ongoing commitment to its channel partners throughout the year, with new initiatives and consistent support and, as a result, saw its Vendor Benchmark scores continue to rise. Ultimately, Veritas had strongest score growth of any of the IT companies that we tracked year-on-year.”

Just eight technology companies met the “Champion” criteria in the Canalys report, reflecting the high standards required to achieve eligibility.
