CIO50 nominations open

The search is on for the most innovative CIOs, CTOs and CDOs, and best ICT-enabled community programmes in New Zealand

CIO New Zealand officially opens the 2019 CIO50, which recognises the most transformative and disruptive CIOs, CDOs and CTOs in the country.

This is the first year we are holding CIO50 in New Zealand.

The research is held in conjunction with CIO50 in Australia. Together, the executives in these lists will comprise the first batch of CIO100 ANZ leaders.

Nomination questions give entrants an opportunity to showcase their achievements in two areas: Business Innovation and Leadership.

Nominations for the CIO50 will be accepted through 17 December 2018.

The more powerful nominations will be the ones that can provide real-world examples of where these CIOs, CDOs and CTOs are successfully providing value to their organisations, driving innovation, and leading their teams.

A panel of judges will determine the 2019 CIO50 leaders.

Dr Marcus Blosch of Gartner is a member of the 2019 CIO50 panel of judges. He will also be the keynote speaker at the CIO50 event in Auckland and Wellington in March 2019.

A separate award will recognise the leading organisation that has developed a technology-enabled initiative that helped address a community or social issue.

The 2018 winner in this category is the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, represented by CIO Ralph Chivers, for the 111 Emergency Caller Location Information service.
