Intergen has been awarded 2018 Country Partner of the Year in New Zealand by Microsoft, with the design and application specialists honoured among a global field of providers.

Reseller News can reveal that the Wellington-based business will officially celebrate the accolade at the tech giant’s annual partner conference, Inspire, which kicks off in Las Vegas on 15 July.

“These annual awards recognise Microsoft partners who demonstrate excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology,” said Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president of One Commercial Partner, Microsoft. “I was amazed by all of the outstanding submissions we received.

“The incredible achievements of our winners and finalists are another reminder of the strength of our partner ecosystem.”

According to Schuster, all winners and finalists represent the “best and most forward-thinking innovators” coming out of the Microsoft partner ecosystem, spanning all aspects of the channel.

“These companies are bringing cutting-edge solutions to complex business challenges and providing digital transformation opportunities for their customers,” Schuster added.

Alongside country recognition, the awards recognise achievement by solution area and industry, in addition to social impact, learning and compete.

In 2018, the vendor received more than 2,600 nominations from 115 countries, spanning 39 different categories, backed up by more than 100 country partner award nominations.

“With so many strong nominations, it’s an extremely difficult task to select the winners and finalists,” Schuster added. “I want to thank all partners who took the time and effort to submit a nomination, and I hope you all will participate in next year’s awards program as well.

“Congratulations to all of the 2018 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists. I’m excited to recognise you and celebrate your success at Microsoft Inspire next month.”

Operating as a subsidiary of Empired, Intergen is a business built on Microsoft technologies, with core capabilities across customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise applications and business intelligence, alongside mobile solutions, cloud and web content management.

Specific to Microsoft, the provider offers deep expertise across Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365, in addition to Power BI, SQL Server and Skype for Business capabilities.

“This is as good as it gets as a Microsoft partner and we are delighted to be recognised as Microsoft New Zealand Country Partner of the Year,” Intergen CEO, Simon Bright, said. “This acknowledgement is fantastic validation for us on a number of fronts.

“Firstly, it's great recognition of the expertise of our people and their commitment to creating truly leading solutions for our clients with Microsoft technologies.

“Secondly, it's a real testament to the enduring value of Intergen's partnership with Microsoft. Over 16 years we've built a relationship together which continues to go from strength to strength and, through this mutual commitment, we are able to help New Zealand organisations achieve amazing, often transformational, outcomes.”

Since launching in 2001, Intergen has received a string of accolades from Redmond, including similar country honours in 2015, as well as specialist acknowledgment for data analytics, application development and devices.

The honouring of Intergen comes just days after the vendor revealed finalists for the 2018 Microsoft Partner Awards in New Zealand, recognising the most customer-centric partners across the country.

Following an overhaul of the channel’s longest running awards ceremony, the awards - launched in 2008 and now in its 11th year - sees the process simplified in 2018, reducing the number of categories from 26 to 11.

As a result, the focus has shifted towards customer-centric solutions, showcasing how partners have empowered customers through the inventive use of Microsoft technology.
