Movers and shakers: Mike Foley joins WorkSafe as chief digital and information officer

Plus: New ICT executive appointments at Flick Electric, Fonterra and Vista Group

Mike Foley takes on the chief digital and information officer role at WorkSafe New Zealand. Before joining the , the workplace health and safety regulator, Foley was the CIO at Instant Finance, and was also head of information services at Auckland Council and CIO at Watercare.

Nick Hearn is now the chief operating officer at Flick Electric. The company began as a startup giving customers access to the wholesale price of electricity direct from the spot market and then charges a transparent fee as a retailer. As COO, he is responsible for Flick NZ’s retail operation.

Prior to this, Hearn was head of loyalty at Contact Energy for a year. His previous roles included general manager of Lab360 of Loyalty NZ and sales and marketing director at SAS.

Tony Wickstead joins Fonterra as digital transformation and CRM strategy business manager. His previous roles include CIO at NZME and Auckland International Airport. He was also a CEO at Tomizone.

Kimbal Riley will take over as Vista Group CEO from Murray Holdaway in April. Holdaway will move to the chief product officer role and will continue as an executive director on the Vista Group board.

Riley has held senior executive roles in the IT and services industries in New Zealand and overseas. He joined Vista Group four years ago, with the past two years as CEO of Vista Entertainment Solutions (VES). Under his leadership, VES has grown its global footprint by an additional 20 markets, extending its reach to more than 80 countries.
