Spark NZ and Cisco boost partnership

Spark subsidiary Telegistics also named as a new distributor of Cisco products and services in NZ.

Spark and Cisco are working together to bring the Cisco Spark products to businesses in New Zealand.

As part of this, Spark subsidiary Telegistics, has been named as a new distributor of Cisco products and services in NZ.

Cisco Spark is a range of messaging and collaboration tools, including the Cisco Spark Board that utilises Cisco’s Spark platform for its interactive operating system.  It offers an open-API, end-to-end encrypted and cloud based platform that offers individual and group meetings, messaging, file sharing and calling capabilities.

Becoming a distributor for Cisco is a natural development for the Telegistics business, says Rajesh Singh, Telegistics director and Spark GM of value management.

Telegistics has actually been acting as a distributor for all of Spark Cisco requirements for the last 12 months, says Singh, in a statement.

“Cisco is one of New Zealand’s leading technology suppliers in the ICT infrastructure and cloud space and we feel privileged to be able to represent their brand and products,” he adds.

“Spark has a long-standing relationship with Cisco and we are pleased that the strength of this relationship has allowed us to work together to enable New Zealand business to gain the benefits of the Cisco Spark Collaboration products.

“While our brand is important to us, it is also important that we are able to support our partners and we’re pleased to be able to bring the Cisco Spark collaboration tools to market alongside Cisco,” he states.

"This development between Cisco and Spark New Zealand has the potential to significantly evolve the way New Zealand businesses, governments, and sectors like education or healthcare, communicate in a secure space that encourages users to create, share and complete tasks together,” says Dave Wilson, Cisco New Zealand country manager.

“As an open-API platform, Cisco Spark also brings and encourages an ecosystem of developers and partner applications. We are also pleased that Telegistics will supply Cisco Spark solutions to customers, as our distribution partner and through the Cisco Reseller channel."
