Mark Denvir takes over in acting capacity

Mike Foley has resigned as head of information services at Auckland Council.

Mark Denvir, enterprise services manager at the Council, is taking over the role in an acting capacity.

Foley held the IS leadership role for just over five years. Before this, he was CIO at Watercare and was business solutions manager at SkyCity.

The Auckland Council is included in CIO100, the annual report on the top ICT using organisations in New Zealand. According to the 2015 report, the council has a 600-member ICT team managing over 14,000 screens.

Its key programs include the CoreProject, which aims to consolidate the core customer facing systems and processes for customer interaction, regulatory services and rates for the former eight councils that now comprise the Auckland Council.
