New ICT chiefs at NZ Lotteries and Z Energy

Brett Cross and Ben Coney appointed following restructuring at Lotteries, Lois van Waardenberg joins Z Energy

New Zealand Lotteries Commission has restructured its ICT team and appointed Brett Cross and Ben Coney as head of technology operations, and general manager for digital channels and customer solutions, respectively.

CTO Warren Hughes, who held the role for over a year, is now working as a technology strategy consultant.

Cross is responsible for managing core IT operations functions and Coney is in charge of Lotto’s online channel MyLotto.co.nz, and information architecture.

New Zealand Lotteries is one of the largest ICT using organisations in New Zealand, with over 1934 screens.

Recent projects include retailer point of sale integration, a WAN replacement across retail sites, next generation MyLotto front end experience improvements and upgrades to the lottery information management platforms.

Lois van Waardenberg is now business technology manager for Z Energy.

Van Waardenberg is a law graduate from the University of Auckland. Her previous roles included CEO of Transformation Analytics, and a range of executive posts at HP, RHE, Suncorp Group, Optimation, Solnet and Southern Cross Health Society.
