Scott Green secures key Datacom post

Former Axon CEO to become director of IT management.

Former Axon CEO Scott Green is set to take up a new role as director of IT management at Datacom. Green’s role, which is Auckland-based, begins on 1 December.

Reporting to CEO Greg Davidson, Green says he will be responsible for shared managed services, professional services and Datacom’s Orbit datacentre, which was opened last year.

He adds he will oversee relationships with major vendors including IBM, Cisco, Microsoft and HP.

Green took a break from the IT industry after finishing at Axon in May, when the company was acquired by Integral. He was appointed GM marketing and corporate at Axon in 2000, and was its chief executive from December 2005 to May this year.
