Idera, Inc., parent company of global B2B software productivity brands, has announced an agreement to acquire Kiwi firm WhereScape.

Wherescape, with headquarters in Auckland, provides data infrastructure automation software.

It will join Idera’s Database Tools business unit that includes IDERA, AquaFold and Webyog, significantly expanding the breadth and depth of the company’s cross-platform database solutions.

WhereScape solves a significant challenge for data infrastructure projects by automating tasks like building data pipelines while consolidating multiple tools and disparate skills into a cohesive solution. WhereScape’s tools reduce timelines, generate significant ROI, and deliver immediate business value,” says Matt O’Connell, Idera’s general manager for WhereScape.

More than 700 customers, and a worldwide partner ecosystem, use WhereScape’s products - WhereScape 3D, WhereScape RED, and WhereScape Data Vault Express - to design, develop, deploy, and operate data infrastructure projects, both on-premises and in the cloud.

“WhereScape is a strategic addition to our growing portfolio of cross-platform database solutions for big data automation and cloud migration,” says Randy Jacops, CEO of Idera.

“As the market shifts to support DevOps use cases for data professionals, WhereScape will be even more important to companies managing complex data environments across platforms and channels,” says Jacops, in a statement.

“By focusing our product investment on ease of use, scalability, and quality, we expect WhereScape to remain the leading data migration solution and drive more value for our 10,000-plus customers.”
