NZTech, formed six years ago, represents over over 100 tech companies, universities, polytechs and government agencies.
Before this, Muller was managing partner of ecosystm, a a research and advisory company.
He also worked with IDC on a raft of roles, including New Zealand country manager, managing director for the Asia Pacific region, and Managing Director, Northern Europe & IDC Insights (EMEA).
Muller replaces Candace Kinser who is now 'leverage lead' for New Zealand for big data company Palantir Technologies.

A green and intuitive building for Ricoh New Zealand
Ricoh New Zealand's new five-star green rated headquarters was inaugurated last week, with managing director Mike Pollok hosting Prime Minister John Key and several business leaders, along with Yoshinori Yamashita, the Corporate Executive Vice President of Ricoh Global.
“We’re no longer just he photocopier guys; we’re part of the eighth-largest IT company in the world. We’ve future proofed our business and we’re already doing the same for our clients,” said Pollok. “This move has been on the cards for a while and we wanted to ensure we did it properly. The new building has more space, more sunlight and is less expensive to run.”
The building on 200 Victoria Street West has bike racks, lockers and showers to encourage staff to bike to work and for clients to bike to meetings. The building’s central staircase encourages staff to walk between floors.
Ricoh said the building is “intuitive”. The boardroom, for instance, is set up to take a certain amount of CO2 so when there are too many people in the room it sends in jets of fresh air.
MYOB announces three key appointments:
Andrew Birch, moves from General Manager of the Enterprise and Connected Services Divisions, to General Manager of Industry Solutions. In this newly created role, he will oversee the launch of MYOB’s new cloud systems.
Adam Ferguson, moves from General Manager of Accountants Division, to General Manager of Engineering and Experience. He heads the newly created division that brings together the management, development and delivery of MYOB’s entire suite of cloud and mobile business systems into one unit.
The SME Solutions division, which is responsible for SME adoption of cloud accounting systems through MYOB’s accounting partners, is now headed by James Scollay.
