Wynyard Group CEO Craig Richardson says the appointment of France was a coup for the company that has focused on attracting industry experts to help support its customers and advance its market leading technology.

France joins former Commander of the London Metropolitan Police Homicide and Serious Crime Group Dave Johnston, former Executive Assistant Director FBI Louis Grever and former Assistant Secretary at the US Office of Homeland Security Louis Quijas, to the security software provider.

Psoda expands Australian footprint through Macquarie Telecom

Cloud software provider Psoda expands its footprint in Australia through a partnership with integrated hosting and telecommunications company, Macquarie Telecom.

Under the partnership, Psoda’s integrated project, program and portfolio management (PPM) software will be hosted Macquarie Telecom’s Tier 3 data centre, Intellicentre 2 (IC2) in Sydney.

The agreement enables Psoda to meet increasing demand from Australian clients for locally hosted access to its solutions.

Psoda’s existing Australian client base includes The Department of Transport NSW, Chandler McLeod, The Sydney College of Law, and the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Bruce Aylward, CEO of Psoda, says hosting from IC2 removes potential data sovereignty, latency, and transparency issues, which were a major concern for a number of potential Australian customers.

“We’re looking to grow our presence in the Australian government and enterprise sectors. Hosting sensitive data internationally is a contentious issue for many organisations. The ambiguity of data sovereignty isn’t going to go away. By hosting at IC2 for our Australian customers we have removed this issue completely.

“We have aggressive growth plans for the Asia Pacific region and to make our mark we knew we had to prove our commitment to local businesses and government agencies. Removing all potential hosting barriers was an important first step.

“Hosting onshore with a partner who meets our high standards and who is ready to grow with us as our customer base expands, is critical to achieving success,” says Aylward.

Macquarie Telecom is Psoda’s first international hosting partner, and the two companies will work together as Psoda continues to invest regionally, capitalising on the growing demand for secure cloud-based project, program and portfolio management software.

James Mystakidis, group executive of hosting at Macquarie Telecom, says Psoda is a challenger company in New Zealand with huge potential to shake-up the Australian SaaS landscape.

“To execute this expansion successfully, the team needs high levels of support, flexibility, and control so that the business can flourish when they’re not in Sydney.

“Macquarie Telecom will execute activity on behalf of Psoda through our remote hands service where our engineers and technicians make changes based on their instructions. They need this level of involvement as Psoda’s solution includes colocation and self-managed firewalls,” says Mystakidis.
