BNZ to launch PayClip using Mint’s solution

Both BNZ and Mint Wireless will receive a proportion of the monthly transaction fees from users of the solution

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) expects to launch PayClip, a mobile payments solution for its small and medium business (SMB) customers next month.

The solution will be delivered utilising Minterprise, Mint Wireless’ custom mobile payments platform and will allow BNZ’s customers to take card payments through smartphone and tables.

Both BNZ and Mint Wireless will receive a proportion of the monthly transaction fees from users of the solution.

According to the firms, the PayClip solution, with Mint’s technology, will simplify the integration of card payments across multiple mobile devices, including iOS, Android and Windows Mobile devices, turning them into fully-featured credit and debit card payment systems. .

Alex Teoh, CEO at Mint Wireless said that the payment platform offers PCI-compliant, card present mobile payments solutions at a price-point accessible to any small business. According to BNZ, the platform would give its small business customers access to an affordable mobile payment solution which will enable them to receive payments as soon as the next business day. Harry Ferreira, head of small business at BNZ said,“The PayClip solution will allow businesses to take payments on the spot and funds will be in their account as early as the next business day.” All BNZ customers can pre-register for the solution.
