Datacom awarded Queensland Government contract

Extends its partnership by three years

New Zealand-headquartered IT services provider, Datacom, has extended its relationship with the Queensland Government through a new, three-year contract.

As part of the agreement, Datacom joins the Government’s supplier panel (QGCPO861-12) for Computer Hardware and Associated Services for Category 1 ‘Supply and Support of Hardware’ and Category 2 ‘Lifecycle Management Services’.

The appointment includes procurement of servers, desktops, notebooks, mobility hardware and associated services.

Datacom will also be working with a range of tier one vendors.

“[We] see this as a great opportunity to enhance the services we currently provide that will ultimately reduce the total cost of ICT for Queensland Government,” Datacom Australia chief executive officer (CEO), Peter Wilson, said.

“The appointment reinforces our credentials in the government sector nationally.”
